Bullers Wood Sixth Form
At Bullers Wood Sixth Form we pride ourselves on providing an academic, nurturing and inclusive environment. Based in Inglewood our beautiful Sixth Form building, we work to help all our students to thrive. Our Post-16 provision offers a wide range of A Level and BTEC subjects, taught by specialist teachers many of whom have industry experience they can share with our students. We have high expectations of our students and expect them to take responsibility for their own achievement. With this in mind all students in Sixth Form have access to our Sixth Form study rooms for supported study sessions where they can have time in school to learn to work independently.
Central to our ethos at BW Sixth Form is the well-being of our students. We provide a system of pastoral support with Sixth Form tutors and Heads of Year working closely together to support students in creating a positive work-life balance, organising their time and learning to manage the pressures of taking on more adult responsibilities. As they learn to take on more responsibility for themselves, we also ask our Sixth Form students to become role models for the younger years as part of our student leadership team.
We are also always mindful of the next steps our students will be taking. In order to help our students to access the best University courses, apprenticeships and job opportunities we have a well-developed program of support. Our success is shown every year in our Year 13 destinations and in the Alumni who return as guest speakers to share their expertise to help our students on their path to success.
At Bullers Wood Sixth Form we endeavour to ensure that our students leave as confident, resilient learners who are well-prepared for the challenges of life.
